Beadle County is located in east-central South Dakota and is referred to as the Home of the “Worlds Largest Pheasant.”
Each year thousands of visitors from all over the country come to Beadle County during pheasant hunting season.

The Beadle County Commission has enacted a burn ban effective immediately, 3-20-2015, to prohibit open burning within Beadle County. This burn ban will be in effect until conditions improve significantly.
REMINDER : When doing any construction or dirt work within a designated flood plain in Beadle County a permit is required. See “County Ordinances” under the “Commission” tab. Permits available on-line here under FORMS or at the Director of Equalization Office or Emergency Management Office.
